Man in Custody after Service Station Robbery

On Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 10:02 p.m., Pleasant Prairie Police responded to the Stateline BP located at 12720 Sheridan Road for an armed robbery complaint. Officers were advised that a masked male suspect had displayed a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes from the lone employee at the store.  

Pleasant Prairie Police were assisted by the Lake County Illinois Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit and the Winthrop Harbor Police Department to search the area. A Winthrop Harbor police officer located a male subject matching the description of the suspect in the 1800 block of Russell Road. Evidence located at that time linked the suspect to the robbery at the service station.  

The suspect, a 21-year-old Kenosha man, is currently being held in the Lake County Jail pending the filing of criminal charges in Kenosha County.
