Posted on 07/13/2022
The Pleasant Prairie Police Department (PPPD) recommends charges for a shooting incident that occurred at 9:58 p.m. on January 20, 2022, where Pleasant Prairie Police Officers responded to a call of shots fired near the 1800 block of 104th Street at Timber Ridge Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, officers located a residence and an unoccupied vehicle struck by gunfire. The residence struck by gunfire had one occupant who was uninjured.

With the help of eyewitnesses and residents who checked home video cameras, officers indicated the gunshots were fired from a vehicle that fled the area after the shooting. A thorough investigation by PPPD helped officers identify the shooting suspect as Kwantrell C. Williams, a 25-year-old male from Zion, Illinois. The firearm believed to be used in this incident has been recovered. Williams is currently incarcerated in the State of Illinois at the McHenry County Jail. The PPPD recommends the following Felony charges for Williams: First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Felon in Possession of Firearm.

Additionally, the homeowner of the targeted residence was also arrested and identified as Frank Cristiano, a 47-year-old male, charged with the following: (6) counts of Felon in Possession of Firearm and (20) counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Cristiano is currently incarcerated in the Kenosha County Jail. Four additional firearms were recovered from this investigation.

PPPD appreciates the quick-thinking police officers and brave citizens that reported the incident and assisted with video evidence. The combined efforts helped guide the investigation to several felony charges. PPPD encourages all residents to report suspicious activity immediately so officers can promptly start these types of investigations.

The Pleasant Prairie Police would also like to thank assisting partners, Zion Police Department, Gurnee Police Department, and Crystal Lake Police Department, for contributing to the investigation's success. PPPD is glad to report these significant arrests and the multiple guns removed from the hands of criminals. This investigation shows how seriously Pleasant Prairie Police take gun violence in the community.
