When conditions in Pleasant Prairie require a public safety response, Village staff works to notify residents of protective actions they should take, such as avoiding or evacuating an area or taking shelter.

Emergency Alerts
In the event of a public safety emergency, emergency alerts are communicated through the Pleasant Prairie Police Facebook page, local news outlets, and, if necessary, Kenosha County Emergency Management.

Non-Emergency Alerts
The Public Works Department continues to use Nixle for non-emergency notifications, such as snow emergencies. These alerts are sent via email through the Nixle service. To receive these messages, sign up at Nixle.com and select the resident option. These non-emergency notices are also shared on the Pleasant Prairie website, on the Village social media pages, and with local news outlets.
