Village Clerk

    The Village clerk’s office manages a multitude of statutorily required tasks. The clerk’s office prepares and maintains agendas, minutes, ordinances and resolutions for the Village Board, Board of Reviews, Community Development Authority, Joint Review Board and Sex Offender Residence Board. The clerk is the custodian of the Village seal. The clerk’s office processes applications and issues liquor, operator’s (bartender), cigarette, mobile home, towing, second hand, solicitor/peddler license as well as block party and hotel permits. The Village clerk’s office is responsible for administering fair and impartial electoral process from start to finish including managing candidates, registering electors, absentee electors’ process, training election inspectors on processes and machines, closing out election including statutory reporting requirements.
