Temporary Use Permits

Section 420-140.1 of the Village Zoning Ordinance authorizes the Village Zoning Administrator to allow uses that are short-term in nature that are not inconsistent with the uses allowed in a particular zoning district.

The Zoning Administrator has the authority to approve, impose reasonable conditions and issue a temporary use permit, provided that such temporary use complies with the provisions of the Ordinance, its purpose and intent and all other applicable federal, state, county and local requirements.

The following applications and requirements relate to Temporary Use Permits that may be considered by the Zoning Administrator.   The application and the required $150 application fee shall be submitted for Village consideration.  If a minor agreement is required by the Village for the Temporary Use Permit then the fee is $250 per application.

New Home Temporary Permit Application -- This temporary permit, subject to conditions, may allow you to live in your existing home while you construct a new home on your property.  Then when the new home is completed the existing old home is torn down and removed from the property.
