Elections and Voting

Are you registered to vote?
In order to cast a vote, all electors must be registered in the municipality in which they reside. To register, request absentee ballot, view voting history, check polling location, view what's on the ballot and other information about voting visit MyVoteWisconsin.

Photo ID
You will need to show a photo ID when voting at the polls on Election Day and when requesting an absentee ballot (in person or by mail). Exempt from the photo ID request are Military, Permanent Overseas, and Confidential Voters.

Residents residing in a resident care facility that is served by a Special Voting Deputy (SVD) do not need to show photo ID; however, the SVD will need to verify your name and address. Voters that certify they are indefinitely confined may choose to provide photo ID with their absentee ballot request, but are not required to do so. The absentee ballot will verify your name and address as listed on the certificate envelope.
