STATE HIGHWAYS 32 AND 165 - WisDOT PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING
Tuesday, September 22, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has scheduled a public involvement meeting to present and discuss the proposed improvement alternatives for the WIS 32 and WIS 165 intersection. The open house style meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at the Pleasant Prairie Renaissance School located at 10450 72nd Avenue (along Highway 165).
Those interested in attending may stop in at any time between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. to review the proposed alternatives and provide comments to WisDOT staff regarding the project. All who have an interest are encouraged to attend.
The existing two-way stop control at the intersection of WIS 32 and WIS 165 does not sufficiently handle the traffic flow resulting in long delays for the motoring public. Intersection types being considered include a signal alternative and a roundabout alternative. Factors reviewed with each alternative included real estate and environmental impacts, access, drainage, and construction costs.
WisDOT currently anticipates that a second public involvement meeting will be held during 2016, and construction will begin during 2019 and 2020. More information about WisDOT projects is available at www.wisconsindot.gov.
