
The public is invited to the RecPlex Ice Arena on January 15 and 16 for the Great Lakes Junior Hockey League's All Star Weekend. The Wisconsin Rampage will host this year's event, which will include two Junior Hockey games and a Skills Competition between the East and West Divisions. Spectators can watch the top 44 players, elected by their teams' coaching staff, as the divisions face off.
"We'd like to invite area families to come out for what should be an exciting hockey weekend," commented Brian Luburich, Operations Director at the RecPlex Ice Arena. "This is a unique opportunity to see the best players in the league go head to head." General admission is $5 per game/day per person. Warm ups begin Saturday at 1:30 p.m., while the game begins at 2:00, and the Skills Competition begins at 4:45 for all players. Warm ups on Sunday begin at 9:00 a.m., while the Sunday game begins at 9:30. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the weekend games.
RecPlex is a multisport recreational compl¬ex offering health, wellness and family resources to residents of southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. It is also a premier venue for sporting events and tournaments of many kinds.
