Committees have been busy planning for the return of the 2011 Prairie Family Days Celebration. Features currently being planned for this year's event include:

• live music and entertainment
• a variety of food vendors
• a new Farmers' Market/Craft Fair
• inflatable, carnival style rides/games
• youth activities and demonstrations
• youth sporting tournaments
• adult sports
• and many of your old favorites like the fishing derby, princess parade and more
• did we mention the fireworks...

During 2011, our goal to maintain Prairie Family Days as a budget neutral, family style event remains firm, however, we're working hard to find community partners who will help bring the fireworks display back to the celebration. Watch for ongoing updates, as well as a surprise, community-building twist to this year's event.
