Will the Holiday affect my collection day?
Your collection day may be affected by a holiday if it is a “Village Recognized Holiday” that is observed during a normal workweek.
“Village Recognized Holidays” are as follows:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on these holidays. When a holiday occurs during a normal workweek, all collections days starting with the day of the holiday will be collected one day later. Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday.
For example, Memorial Day, and Labor Day fall on Mondays, therefore, Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday’s route be collected on Wednesday, etc.
