The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex has announced the cancellation of Halloween
Fest, a family-oriented Halloween festival originally scheduled for
Saturday, October 29, 2011 inside Prairie Springs Park. “RecPlex truly
regrets that we are unable to bring Halloween Fest to the community this
year,” explained Carol Willke, Recreation Director at RecPlex. “This
year, we’ve been unable to secure enough sponsors to help cover the
costs of maintaining a budget-neutral event that is free and open to the
public.”
This month, RecPlex is offering other autumn
activities for families, including: FitFest, the Cinderella Ball and a
5K Trail Run on October 15; FitFest and an indoor/outdoor triathlon on
Sunday, October 16. More information about these events is available at
RecPlexOnline.com.
