Existing Village Ordinances (Chapter 68-14C of the Village Municipal Code) do not allow for the carrying of firearms within Village buildings. Firearms are excluded from Village Hall and Municipal Court, which are also excluded under the new State Concealed Carry Legislation. The Roger Prange Center is excluded under the Concealed Carry Legislation, because the Police Department is located in that building; and RecPlex is also excluded under the new Concealed Carry Legislation, because there is preschool located within the building.

All Village buildings will be posted with the appropriate signage. Village parks, parking lots, and open spaces are available for the new use under the State Concealed Carry Legislation.
