Thank you to those who joined us for the Bauer International Invite. The RecPlex Ice Arena hosted a portion of the 2011 Bauer International Invite over the weekend of November 4 through November 6. Over the course of the weekend, boy’s hockey teams from 15 U.S. states, Canada and Russia competed in the tournament. Boys on the teams that played at RecPlex were ages 14 through 16. RecPlex was one of 27 rinks hosting the 2011 Bauer International Invite.
“These are basically the best teams from around the country,” explained RecPlex Ice Arena Operations Director Brian Luburich. “Considering the quality of the teams enrolled in the tournament, we were treated to some high caliber hockey! This was a unique opportunity to see the best players in the country go head to head.”
Hockey scouts attended the tournament. Two major tournament sponsors were the United States Hockey League (USHL) and College Hockey, Inc. During the 2010 Bauer International Invite, over 120 scouts attended.
