RecPlex and the Village of Pleasant Prairie would like to publicly recognize the Pleasant Prairie Predators Baseball Club for their 2010 donation of $1,300. During the month of December, the Predators presented the Pleasant Prairie Recreation Commission with a ceremonial check to mark the donation. The funds were dedicated for use in the improvement of a baseball diamond inside Prairie Springs Park.
The expansion will convert a current field into a regulation baseball field with a full infield and 90-foot base paths. The improvements will allow for a wider variety of ball playing options for area youth at a higher level of competitive play.
The Predators Baseball Club was founded in 2006 with the goal of fostering "the development of baseball skills in a competitive environment" and helping to prepare young athletes for national competition and high school level play. RecPlex shares a similar goal of offering quality youth baseball programs to area youth. "I'd like to thank the Predators for their generous donation," commented Kris Jensen, Director of Sports and Recreation for the Village of Pleasant Prairie - RecPlex. "Their donation will benefit many youth and families throughout the community."
During their December meeting, the Pleasant Prairie Recreation Commission presented the Predators with a Resolution of Appreciation in response to their donation.
