With warmer temperatures, melting snowfall and any extra precipitation will run toward the storm sewer and drainage areas. To help reduce the possibility of flooding near your home, please keep storm sewer grates or culverts near your home free from debris that may have accumulated over the winter months. This will help to keep storm water flowing towards its ultimate destination and may prevent unsafe conditions in your neighborhood.

If you observe a blocked storm sewer or culvert that you are unable to clear safely, please contact the Public Works Department at 925-6700. While crews do work to keep storm sewers and culverts clear, conditions are constantly changing throughout the Village, and crews may not see potential problems before they arise.
