Thank you to all who joined us on Saturday, March 19, at RecPlex for the Kids Expo. The Kids Expo was free and open to the public. Families attending the expo found a dynamic mix of exhibitors.
Nearly 50 exhibitors were on hand providing demonstrations, products, information and activities related to youth and families. Special youth-oriented activities included: on-stage entertainment every half hour; children’s Passport Raffles; an obstacle course sponsored by Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue; an appearance by Rico, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department’s K-9 friend; a free inflatables area; and more. Exhibitors and information were available for a variety of interests, such as: youth related retail; scouting; fire safety; family camping and recreation; healthcare; sports and athletics; education; summer childcare/camp options; family friendly restaurants and caterers; and more. More information is available at 262/947-0437.
The Kids Expo originated in 2008 as a kick-off for the RecPlex Summer Camps. Information on multiple specialty camps will be available. Specialty camps this year will include: horseback riding, cheerleading, basketball, Crazy Science, baseball/softball, spa, dance and fishing camps.
