
Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser has announced that a Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held on Saturday, May 7, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., at the Kenosha County Municipal Center on Highways 45 and 50. "The Kenosha County Household Hazardous Waste Program is a FREE program and a great opportunity for County, non-City, residents to dispose of their household hazardous waste in an environmentally friendly way," explained Kreuser.
Household hazardous wastes are common products found in the home that when disposed of improperly may become hazardous. Items collected include: household cleaning products, bug sprays, batteries, vehicle fluids and cleaners, oil based paints, paint-related products, fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals and garden/outdoor related products.
