Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine Remains In Effect in County...
An Emerald Ash Borer was found in Kenosha County in a state trap at Highways 31 and 50 on August 10, 2009. On August 22, 2009, a quarantine was established in Kenosha County.
The quarantine has made it illegal to move ash material (such as logs, mulch and nursery stock), hardwood firewood, and the Emerald Ash Borer itself out of the quarantine area. This helps to slow the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. The 2009 quarantine remains in effect. The Village would like to remind residents not to transport ash material outside of our area.
