INPUT SOUGHT FOR COMMUNITY GARDENS AND PARK IMPROVEMENTS
Residents who have an interest in establishing community gardens in neighborhood parks throughout the Village, and/or those who would like to provide input related to park improvements being planned for 2016, are invited to attend the January Park Commission meeting to share their input and become part of the planning process.
During 2016, the Village will be installing park improvements with funding from impact fees. An impact fee is a fee that is paid to the Village at the time that a building permit is issued for a new development or residence. Impact fees are used to pay for public improvements that serve a new development or residence. Impact fees are used to protect existing property tax payers from paying any costs related to new development.
The Park Commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 5 at 6:00 p.m. in the Village Hall courtroom, accessible through the lobby at Village Hall at 9915 39th Avenue. If you are unable to attend and would still like to participate or share your input, please contact the Village Parks Department at 262.925.6700 or [email protected].
