PUBLIC SAFETY REMINDERS FROM THE PLEASANT PRAIRIE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Simple ways to help protect yourself from crime...
With the arrival of warmer weather, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department would like to remind residents to please be mindful of the items you leave unsecured or in a visible place on your property. It only takes a few seconds for a thief to grab an item of value and go. As a resident, you can take simple steps that will make you a less attractive victim for a would be thief:
(1) make a routine of double-checking that your garage door and all other doors to your home are closed and locked even when you’re home;
(2) lock car doors and close car windows when parking your car for any period of time;
(3) don’t leave items of value or garage door openers in a parked vehicle;
(4) turn on outdoor lights when it gets dark outside; and
(5) get to know your neighbors.
IF YOU SEE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - PLEASE CALL
