During the Monday, October 20, Plan Commission meeting, members approved a time extension for the Final Site and Operational Plans for the proposed Home2 Suites Hotel. The project, led by Synergy Hotels LLC, is planned for development on the northeast corner of 91st Avenue and Prairie Ridge Boulevard within the Prairie Ridge commercial area. The approval extends the deadline to April 11, 2026, allowing additional time to meet the conditions set by the Plan Commission and obtain necessary permits.
The Home2 Suites Hotel proposal includes a 59,000-square-foot, four-story building with 86 guest rooms. Planned amenities include a heated indoor pool, fitness center, meeting room, outdoor patio with fire pit and seating, outdoor grilling area, guest marketplace, breakfast and business spaces, and guest rooms equipped with full-size refrigerators, microwaves, and dishwashers.
The hotel will be owned and operated by Synergy Hotels LLC, a family-owned business with more than 25 years of experience managing hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The company indicated that recent fluctuations in material costs and financing conditions required additional time to finalize construction budgets and supplier contracts. In correspondence with the Village of Pleasant Prairie, the developer stated that these issues are being resolved and that permit applications are expected later this fall, with construction anticipated to begin soon after.
Village staff recommended approval of the extension and explained that this will serve as the final extension. If permits are not issued by April 11, 2026, new Site and Operational Plan approval will be required. Community Development Director Robert Hanson stated, “The Village continues to support investment in the Prairie Ridge commercial area and looks forward to this project moving forward. The Home2 Suites development will expand lodging options for visitors and strengthen the local commercial base.”
