Polling Places
The Village will have all five polling places open for voting on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 - General Election. All polls in Wisconsin are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters in Wards 13 & 14 will not be able to use the Addison of Pleasant Prairie for their polling place due to COVID-19 safety concerns for the residents. The polling place for Wards 13 & 14 has been temporarily moved to the RecPlex.

Voter Registration

You must be a citizen of the United States;
A resident of Wisconsin and have resided at the registered address for at least 28 consecutive days prior to Election Day;
18 years old;
Not have been convicted of treason, felony, or bribery, and if you have, your civil rights are restored after completion of your sentence or a pardon;
Not have been found by a court to be incapable of understanding the objective of the electoral process;
Not have voted at any other location, if registering on Election Day.

To register:
Online at MyVote.wi.gov up to 20 days before Election Day. After 20 days, complete, print, and either bring the printed application to the Clerk’s office or to your polling place on Election Day.
In-person at the Clerk’s office up to the Friday before Election Day, 7:30 – 4:30 p.m. at Village Hall.
Acceptable proof of residency is required.

Absentee Voting by Mail:
Absentee ballot requests must be made in writing and received by the Village Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. the Thursday before Election Day. You can request an absentee ballot online, by mail, by fax, or by email. Online requests can be made at MyVote.wi.gov. Absentee Ballot Request forms can be found here. The voter will need to download, complete the application, and return it to the Village Clerk’s office (9915 39th Avenue) with
acceptable Photo ID.

The Village Clerk’s office will mail your absentee ballot once printed ballots are received from the Kenosha County Clerk’s office. This is approximately six weeks prior to the Election. When returning your ballot, seal your voted ballot in the Absentee Ballot Certificate Envelope, complete Section 3, Certification of Voter with your signature and date, complete Section 4, Certification of Witness by having your witness sign and write their address. If any of the required information above is missing, your ballot will not be counted.

Your voted ballot must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. You may return it by US Mail, drop it off at the Village Clerk’s office until 4:30 p.m., drop it off in the Village’s absentee ballot drop box until 8:00 p.m., or drop it off at the Village’s central count location on Election Day.

In-Person Absentee Voting:
If you would like to vote in person still but not on Election Day, the Village will be offering in-person absentee voting at Village Hall Auditorium (9915 39th Avenue) beginning October 20 through October 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and October 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A photo ID is required.

There is no registering to vote or voting conducted on the Monday before Election Day.
