Snap-on Storage Facility Planned for Pleasant Prairie
Posted on 12/14/2020
Snap-on Logistics Corporation has purchased the former MG Design building, from TI Investors of Lakeview II LLC, in LakeView Corporate Park. The facility will soon warehouse Snap-on tools and trade show marketing materials. The Plan Commission, on Monday night, unanimously approved the Site and Operational Plans that were requested by Jacob Gunia, with Snap-on Logistics. The company will occupy the existing 121,052 square foot industrial building, located at 8778 100th Street, previously occupied by MG Design between 1999 and 2019.

Snap-on will move into the building using a multi-phased process. The first phase will occur in December 2020, which involves consolidating, moving large toolboxes, and other supplies to the new location from rented storage areas in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie. The second phase will begin in February 2021, moving one of Snap-on's warehouse operations from their Kenosha Headquarters to the new Pleasant Prairie building. Snap-on plans to employ ten full-time employees at the Pleasant Prairie facility, working one shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The site currently provides 115 parking spaces with eight dock doors.

"The Village is excited Snap-on has selected Pleasant Prairie for their new warehouse operations," said Jean Werbie-Harris, Community Development Director. "We are glad to have them in our business community and look forward to seeing Snap-on expand and grow into their new location.”
