Starting January 2024, Pleasant Prairie will adjust meeting times to begin at 6:00 p.m. The primary motive behind this shift is to accommodate the needs of the community, particularly those who work until 5:00 p.m., providing a later start time for guests to attend and participate. Village Trustee Mike Pollocoff stated, “Adjusting the time from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. gives the public more access to attend meetings, and that is a good thing because that’s why we’re here.”
The decision to shift the meeting time demonstrates the board’s commitment to making essential public engagements more convenient for Pleasant Prairie residents. Effective in 2024, this change reflects the Village Board’s dedication to making Village meetings more accessible to enhance community involvement and interaction.
